What is Ecotourism?

Ecotourism is presently characterized as “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people, and involves interpretation and education” (TIES, 2015). The term “education” encompasses both staff and guests.

The fundamental principles of ecotourism revolve around the integration of conservation, communities, and sustainable travel.
